Balkan Café and Grill is a family-owned restaurant located at 11800 North Lamar Blvd. Živojin (Z) Zekic, owner, moved with his family to Austin in the 1990s, part of the diaspora of Serbians displaced by the Balkan Wars. Members of the Zekic family run the restaurant located in a building they have renovated to look and feel like a European bar and pub. The interior proudly displays Serbian culture, and the exterior boasts two beach-sand volleyball courts, bar, and outdoor dog friendly seating. Due to COVID-19, many changes have occurred within our pub this year. Come by to say hi, and check out our new menu items, sweepstakes, and vibes.
